11th of March 2009 - NeuroSoc Ball

The first ever (but definitely not the last) NeuroSoc Ball was held in Kobra on Leeson Street and was a resounding success! Thanks to everyone who showed up to make this an unforgettable night!

19th November 2009 - Coffee Morning

Our most successful charity bakesale to date, where we raised over 540 Euros in aid of Pieta House ('The centre for the prevention of self harm or suicide'). Thanks to everyone who baked or came along!

4th of November 2009 - Table Quiz 4

Yet another entertaining and challenging night in Doyle's, where everyone's minds and beer bellies were put to the test!

14th October 2009 - Film Night - Wall-E

A heart-warming computer animated story where a a small waste collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind.

1st of October 2009 - Newbie Reception

A wine reception to welcome all the new and old members and kick off another exciting academic year with Neurosoc!

22nd of July 2009 - Film Night - One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest

Based on the story by Ken Kesey, this film tells the story of a mental patient who rebels against the system and is a Jack Nicholson classic!

24th of June 2009 - Table Quiz 3

The third installment of our famous Table Quiz Night, with a packed Doyle's, challenging questions, a brilliant MC, and lots of fun prizes!

13 May 2009 - Film Night - Awakenings

Based on the novel by Oliver Sacks, this poignant film tells the story of a doctor in a psychiatric ward who discovers that a new drug awakens patients from a catatonic state.

9th - 15th March 2009 - Brain Awareness Week

We had a jam-packed brain awareness week with lots of excellent talks and funfilled social events. The bake sale was a great success with almost 400 euro raised in aid of AWARE. Thank you to everyone who contributed with cakes or hungry tummies!

Thursday 5th March 2009 - Film Night - The Accidental Advocate

We were delighted to screen the Irish premiere of this film which follows the true story of Claude Gerstle who after a severe bike accident was left paralysed, and who seeks hope in stem cell research. Neurosoc thank everyone for coming along, especially to Dr Stephen O'Sullivan for answering all our questions afterwards.

Wednesday 18th Feb - Table Quiz 2

Yet another sucessful quiz night, with over 100 people attending! Thanks to everyone who made it a really great night!

Thursday 15th Jan - Film Night - Diving Bell and the Butterfly

This film is a translation of the French memoir 'Le scaphandre et le papillon' by journalist Jean-Dominique Bauby. It describes what his life is like after suffering a massive stroke that left him with a condition called locked-in syndrome.

Thursday 4th Dec - 12 Pubs of Christmas

The 12 pubs of Christmas was a great success, and most people made it to all of them. We were very impressed by the turn out, and counted 29 at the last stop!

Thursday 3rd July - Table Quiz 1

Thanks to everyone who joined us in Doyles for our first full social event. It was a great night and the basement was packed!
